Song of the Innocents was part of The Caribou Project, an initiative of St. Philip the Apostle Anglican Church.

Through an exploration of some elements of the Christmas story, in particular, the slaughter of the innocents, the performance questioned why we seem incapable of effecting change that we know is needed. What kind of king would initiate a massacre to kill a child who threatened his authority?  How could the soldiers be willing to follow such horrendous orders?  Song of the Innocents rewrites the ending, and the mothers find the courage to stand up and say "No!"
